Personal Development

Ruby is 23 years old and is currently working in the events industry.During COVID it was hard for her to find employment and felt frustrated, so with some thought she decided to pursue a career in the construction industry. Ruby was feeling let down with the UC, she decided to become self employed as a labourer working in the events construction industry and subcontracting out her services to various companies.

"2 years ago, I started a university degree in aerospace engineering and after completing year 2 of the course I decided it wasn't for me. I went to Uni in the hope of getting a degree to earn a better income for myself, this didn't go to plan, I continued working in the events construction industry and decided to sit a Tele-handler course, I funded the course myself, this would help secure my future."

"I found The Construction Hub Academy and they put me through my HS&E, I have thoroughly enjoyed learning how to operate a Tele-handler. The team have been brilliant, I felt reassured by all the staff throughout the course, and they made me feel confident that I will pass and get my ticket. This has secured my future and I am now able to pursue my operator licence that I achieved within the construction hub academy and continue my career working with in the festival environment."
