Chris Rosser and Megan Williams are attending the Transport for Wales Welsh Armed Forces Employment Event which is being held at Cardiff Arms Park this afternoon.
The recruitment event is aimed at providing an opportunity for our Armed Forces Community to connect with employers across Wales.
Transport for Wales and members within the supply chain are holding the recruitment event, which is aimed at providing an opportunity for our Armed Forces Community to connect with employers across Wales. The event will also incorporate an opportunity for an Army Fijian Rugby Team, consisting of two Fijian communities, to showcase their skillsets and to create new connections across the WRU and the Welsh Supply Chain.
There will also be a charity auction hosted by Homes Under the Hammer presenter Martin Roberts.
There are over 35+ employers registered to the event from Balfour Beatty, Willmott Dixon as well as Rhondda Cynon Taff and Cardiff Councils.
Karl Gilmore who is heading up the event comments, “With skill gap shortages across all sectors, there’s no better time to learn more about and tap into the highly skilled resources that come from this Nation’s Armed Forces Community. This community may be broader than most would first think, to include veterans, soon to be service leavers, reservists, cadet force adult volunteers and our valued spouses.”
Chris Rosser, director at The Construction Hub Academy, commented, “As a business which has signed the Armed Forces Covenant, we are delighted to be here today to help and support as many of the Armed Forces community as we can. The construction sector has enormous potential for employment. We know that some skills are transferrable to other industries and at The Construction Hub Academy we have a range of plant courses from learner to experienced that I am sure will benefit many of the visitors here today.”
